Dr. Andrew Campbell Performing Silhouette Instalift – The 30-45 Minute Facelift in Milwaukee and Madision
Dr. Andrew Campbell
Hey, Dr. Campbell here at Quintessa. We’re going to be doing an InstaLift here shortly. So what InstaLift is the latest in nonsurgical lifting. It actually does lift the face. You can also use it in the neck. We’re here to essentially try to lift a little bit here at the nasolabial fold. We’re going to lift here down at this little marionette, kind of little pooch spot, and we’re going to lift here down at the lower jaw. She doesn’t have a lot of laxity, so doing a full lift really isn’t necessary and honestly it isn’t going to correct most of her problems.
So we’re going to try to do this with an InstaLift, where you basically bunch. It’s got dissolvable threads and dissolvable cones. They engage the tissue so that we can kind of lift and tighten like that. It lasts for a year to two years. It’s done with local anesthesia. There’s very little, if any, downtime. Some patients will bruise a little bit, but that’s about it. It doesn’t take very long to do. It’s certainly less than an hour. So we’re going to get started here.

About 30 minutes we placed these threads and we got a fair amount of lift in the jaw, the marionette and the nasolabial fold. Things sometimes look slightly puckered, but it’s usually pretty minimal. There’s not usually any bruising, but some people can. So we just tell them if it happens, they can wear makeup pretty much the next day. Most people are going back to normal activities. We don’t want to do any facial exercises, essentially. Nothing where the mouth is wide open, certainly no pulling of the mouth on either side that can affect the result.
And then over about three months, you’re going to get more collagen deposition around these cones and the threads. And that actually adds to a little bit of volume, which also makes it look better. People see a little improvement in the overlying skin. So all these things happen in the first about three months after placing the InstaLift, the silhouette lift. So this is how it’s done. It’s really popular. And again, it lasts for a year to two years, but completely non-surgical and essentially no downtime.
