What Is A Mini-Lift or Mini Facelift Explained by Dr. Andrew Campbell of Quintessa in Milwaukee, WI
Dr. Andrew Campbell
A mini-lift is one of the most common procedures we do here at Quintessa. It’s a procedure that that’ll lift jowls, it’ll help the neck. It essentially takes away that kind of square look to the jaw and creates that more heart-shaped face of a youthful young woman. These can be performed in men and frequently are, but 90% of our patients are women. This is performed in the office. It’s local anesthesia. It takes about two hours. So you’re awake for the procedure. We don’t have to go to a surgery center. We don’t need an anesthesiologist involved. Sutures come out in about a week, but they’re all hidden around your ears. So many patients will wear their hair over their ears and they’re out actually doing normal activities before we even remove their stitches. Certainly by the time those sutures come out, patients are back to work, doing normal things.
It does a wonderful job of lifting the jowl, improving the neck, exactly what patients do in the mirror when they lift and we give them that result and it’s going to last for a very, very long time, if not for the rest of their life.
