What is CoolSculpting®?

CoolSculpting is an FDA-approved, non-surgical body contouring technology that freezes away stubborn fat in problem areas like under arms, stomach, and thighs. Once the CoolSculpting® applicator is on the tissue, it will reach a temperature that is safe for the body, but cold enough to eliminate the fat cells effectively reducing fat by up to 20% – 25%.

What to Expect

Before the Treatment

Our CoolSculpting process begins with a one-on-one consultation where you’ll meet one of our certified CoolSculpting experts. Together, we’ll assess your body from different angles and identify the specific areas where you want to permanently eliminate fat.

During the Treatment

During your treatment, an experienced provider will apply the CoolSculpting applicator to your targeted area. It will reach a temperature that is safe for the body, but cold enough to eliminate the fat cells. The treatment isn’t painful and many patients feel comfortable enough to multitask during their appointments.

After the Treatment

Most people are approved to resume normal day-to-day activities as soon as they leave the Quintessa office. In some cases, some minor inflammation and soreness may occur where treated, but subsides quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions About CoolSculpting

Is there truly no downtime with fat reduction devices?

There is little to no recovery time after a CoolSculpting, CoolToning and EMSculpting procedures. Most people are approved to resume normal day-to-day as soon as they leave the Quintessa office. In some cases, some minor inflammation and soreness may occur where treated, but subsides quickly. There are very few instances of long-term side-effects and Coolsculpting Milwaukee patients can expect to see results in 2-3 weeks.

Are there any risks with fat reduction devices?

CoolSculpting is noninvasive so you won’t have to undergo surgery. There are no cuts or anesthetics, so it is considered very safe and not as risky as liposuction. Both procedures have also been tested and approved by the FDA.

That being said, if you have cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobulinuria then CoolSculpting would not be recommended for you.
