why a breast augmentation with lift
In addition to the breast augmentation process, an augmentation with lift includes lifting your breast to provide you with an enhanced figure, especially for those with low natural nipple placement.
The breast augmentation with lift procedure
Like our general breast augmentation procedure, you will first meet with Dr. Daniel Butz who will give you all the information you’ll need to consider for this procedure and listen to your specific needs.
During the surgery, Dr. Butz will typically use an inframammary fold incision along the lower part of the breast. This 1.75 inch incision will hide within the natural fold of the breast, allowing the scar to hide naturally. In addition, Dr. Butz will perform a lift which involves repositioning the breasts to a more natural and attractive looking location.
Breast augmentation with lift recovery
Following your breast augmentation lift procedure, you can expect to take pain medicine for 1-2 days and over the counter pain relievers for another 1-2 days. However, some patients may need no pain medicine at all.
You may feel an uncomfortable sense of tightness or swelling around the breast area, which is normal. Most patients report that this feeling goes away within a week.

How long does swelling last after a breast lift?
Most patients undergoing breast augmentation with lift are able to transition from narcotics to over-the-counter pain medications within the first week. It's unusual for patients to experience any swelling or burning beyond two weeks following their procedure. Burning pain is frequently associated with nerve pain which can be related to inflammation or a pinched/irritated nerve. If you do experience pain like this, gabapentin or Lyrica can help greatly with nerve pain. In any case, we recommend contacting your physician to have them evaluate you in person and make a decision about how to help improve your breast lift recovery.Read More
