Are You a good coolsculpting candidate?

Do you feel self-conscious about your figure? Have you made healthy improvements to your daily routine and still not seeing desired results?

Despite excessive diet and exercise, there are some areas of the body that are simply more stubborn than others. These target areas can vary from person to person, but CoolSculpting has proven to be one of the best non-surgical fat reduction treatments available.

Below are the most common areas of the body that can benefit from CoolSculpting:

  • Double chin and neck
  • Upper arms and under arms
  • Male breast tissue
  • Back/bra fat
  • Lower stomach or “pudge”
  • Middle section/abdomen
  • Love handles
  • Buttocks
  • Inner and outer thighs

At Quintessa Aesthetic Center, our staff has extensive experience treating the areas above with CoolSculpting technology. With no downtime, we will set you on the right path towards a more fit, toned and confident body.

Whether it’s a free consultation or the procedure itself, our goal is to ensure all patients are comfortable and fully understand the CoolSculpting process. Quintessa’s warm and inviting atmosphere is often a pleasant surprise as most patients come in expecting the typical hospital environment with bright white lights and scary medical devices surrounding the room.

Our CoolSculpting process begins with a one-on-one consultation where you’ll meet one of our certified CoolSculpting experts. Our experienced clinicians will take the time to answer all your questions and discuss a holistic approach to reaching your body contouring goals. Together, you’ll look at your body from different angles and identify the specific areas where you want to eliminate fat. During this time, you will also get a chance to browse a wide range of CoolSculpting before and after photos so you can see results firsthand from patients who may have had similar challenges and goals.

The consultation process is intended to be informative and personalized. If there’s an alternative procedure that might give you results that better align with your goals, we’ll discuss those options with you and guide you in a best-fit direction.

HOW DOES Coolsculpting WORK?

When a new patient comes in for a CoolSculpting treatment, they’ll usually ask, “Does it hurt?” The short answer is no. The best way to describe what CoolSculpting feels like is a vacuum suctioning up tissue into a cup. The fat-freezing aspect feels similar to having a very cold ice pack applied to the body. Once the CoolSculpting applicator is on the tissue, it will reach a temperature that is safe for the body, but cold enough to kill the fat cells.

Every person is born with a certain number of fat cells that grow until he or she reaches adolescence. After that, the fat cells are technically done growing. If we gain or lose weight, our fat cells just get larger or smaller. When we freeze these fat cells with CoolSculpting, the fat cells die off and cannot grow back, leaving you with permanent results.

How amazing is that?

The CoolSculpting procedure safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells are crystalized (frozen), then die. Every application to each patient’s area of concern will reduce the area 20% to 25%. That said, we typically recommend patients have one to two treatments done per area. We carry a large number of applicators for different areas on the body and treatments can range from 35 to 75 minutes each.

Over time, your body naturally metabolizes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted figure that you will love for years to come.

CoolSculpting vs. Liposuction

Stubborn fat is called stubborn for a reason. No matter how often you exercise or how closely you stick to a healthy diet, stubborn fat sticks around.

If you’re at or near a healthy weight for your body, but still have areas of unwanted fat on your stomach, thighs, or hips, there are a number of procedures available to help you blast away the fat.

While some procedures, such as liposuction, require more downtime and are more invasive, newer options like CoolSculpting are less painful and will have you back on your feet in less time.

  • Non-invasive
  • Quick, easy, painless
  • No downtime
  • Regained confidence
  • Surgical
  • Anesthesia required
  • 1-2 week recovery
  • Immediate results

So which procedure is right for you? Our expert medical staff will talk you through all available options to ensure you approach fat reduction in a way that best fits your comfort-level and body reshaping goals.

CoolSculpting has come out with more and more applicators throughout the years to better help problem areas. At Quintessa, we essentially offer patients two additional CoolSculpting options to treat more specific target areas:

The CoolSculpting CoolMini procedure is specifically designed for the double chin while the CoolAdvantage Petite treats the upper arms. CoolSculpting treatment also comes with many unexpected benefits that you might not have initially considered.

Our highly trained CoolSculpting clinicians will help you choose the best applicator for your unique needs.

Realself Q&A

Dr. Andrew Campbell - RealSelf Q&A

Can you have Emsculpt and CoolSculpting in the same session?

Emsculpt and CoolSculpt compliment each other extremely well. CoolSculpt can reduce the amount of fat under the skin of the love handles, flanks, and back, while Emsculpt can not only tone the abdominal muscles, but also decrease the midline fat. There's no reason you can't have one treatment followed by the other on the same day.

I'm interested in getting CoolSculpting to even out my stomach. Can I get CoolSculpting while I'm still losing weight?

You can have CoolSculpting done on areas that are too full (too much fat under the skin) and still exercise and lose weight. Most often, no matter how much weight someone loses, or how much they exercise, there are still areas of fat that just won't go away. This is where CoolSculpting is great. A couple treatments to the area and almost half the fat should be gone forever.

SculpSure vs. CoolSculpting: Which has better results?

We have used heat-based fat reducing systems in the past with inconsistent results. We have now been using CoolSculpting successfully and have a near perfect patient satisfaction rating. I don't see how combining these technologies would help. CoolSculpting, in the hands of an experienced provider, works great.
