Breast Augmentation, For Every Woman
For many women, breast augmentation is less about how your clothes fit and more about self-esteem and body image. You deserve to feel "normal" in your everyday life and a big part of that is wanting important parts of your body to feel right.
The way you imagine yourself, happy and confident, should match how you see yourself on the outside. You have options for breast augmentation in Wisconsin, too. Quintessa has five offices in the greater Milwaukee and Madison areas.
Breast augmentation is the most popular plastic surgery procedure, with over 300,000 performed every year. There are a number of different options to consider with various pros and cons -- Dr. Daniel Butz will review this in detail to provide a customized solution to help achieve your goals. We offer both saline and silicone implants and will help you determine what will give you the look you’re looking for. If you are more interested in an all-natural augmentation, fat grafting can also be an option.

"Amazing!!! I was terrified, nervous and very hesitant. I even waited to call the office 10 minutes before closing time hoping no one would answer or try and talk myself out of it again. This amazing lady by the name of Jamie answered my call. She said hello so I had to speak. I had questions and concerns. She patiently answered all of my questions and put my doubts to rest. She walked me through the entire process. In fact, the entire staff was amazing. So, I finally got my nerves in check and set up an appointment with Dr. Butz through Jamie... Ok, honestly, I still had doubts. Dr. Butz then showed me his work. I saw before and afterwards snapshots of his amazing work.
I can’t use any other word/words other than amazing because that’s just what it is. It’s been 3 months since my procedure and guess what? I’m still amazed. Dr. Butz's work restored my confidence and gave me my smile back..."
"We loved every part of our experience! The meetings were informative, I loved that we got the chance to actually try different sizes on, and the 3D picture experience was incredible! I don’t know how we would have made a final decision without it! If we ever had any questions they were always just a phone call or email away and were always so quick to respond and would take as much time as I needed to help answer any questions I had!
The surgery couldn’t have gone any better - it was very quick and smooth with zero problems or complications. I was given all of the information that I needed beforehand about the recovery process so we felt well informed and like the timeline that they gave us and what to expect was very realistic!
We couldn’t be happier with the entire process and the end results! We would definitely trust Dr. B and his team with any surgeries and would highly recommend them to anyone that we know!"

What can I expect during my breast augmentation procedure?

There are several different techniques and options available for breast augmentation. Our doctors will discuss your goals and preferences and help you decide what the best option is for you. There are two main categories of breast implants: saline and silicone. The pros and cons of each will be extensively reviewed and you will have an opportunity to feel and see them during your consultation.
Silicone implants come in several different varieties depending on how “cohesive” they are. Sometimes people refer to the highly cohesive implants as the “Gummy Bear” implants. Silicone implants tend to feel and look more natural but are more expensive and more difficult to detect rupture.
Saline implants are filled with saline (saltwater) at the time of the surgery and can be tailored more specifically. However, saline tend to be firmer and require more breast tissue to ensure they appear natural.
There are two commonly used incision site options, peri-areolar and inframammary fold. Both incisions can be used to place the implant above or below the muscle.
What can I expect after my breast augmentation surgery?
After the the breast augmentation procedure you can expect to take pain medicine for 1-3 days and then over-the-counter pain relievers for another 1-3 days. However, some patients may need no pain medicine at all.
It is normal to feel a slightly uncomfortable sense of tightness or swelling around the breast area, but most patients report that this feeling goes away within a week.
You will be placed in a bra at the end of the procedure. You may remove this and shower after 24 hours. It's important to use a gentile compression bra during the first 1-2 weeks and stronger bra support when you start doing activities for the first 3 months.
You should avoid underwire bras for at least 6 weeks. You may have some numbness and hypersensitivity of the breast. This is normal and will improve with time. You should avoid rigorous exercise for at least 2 weeks but we encourage you to be up and walking several times throughout the day.
Average recovery time is 5-7 days.

No, intense pulsed light treatments on the skin should not be able to damage silicone breast implants. That being said, there are risks if the implant was directly under the skin (like those who have had a complete mastectomy with silicone implant reconstruction, with extraordinarily thin subcutaneous fat volume).
There are many types of cosmetic surgery performed on breasts: breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift and breast revision. Each surgery offers a different kind of solution for a woman who wants to achieve her ideal look -- but all procedures have natural-looking outcomes.
Yes! This may sound surprising, but the most common cosmetic surgery is performed on our breasts. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons recently published a report showing more than 310,000 women and teenagers in the United States underwent surgery to have their breasts enlarged with silicone or saline implants. It's been the number one procedure since 2006.
