What Is Restylane?

Restylane is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance your body produces. As we age, our bodies produce less hyaluronic acid. Because of this, Restylane can be injected into the skin to restore its volume and provide the natural look you want. At Quintessa Aesthetic Center, only a licensed and trained medical professional performs injection treatments. As one of Wisconsin’s most trusted medical spas & aesthetic centers, we guarantee professionalism and confidence-boosting results.

Why Facial Fillers

As one of Wisconsin’s most trusted medical spas, we guarantee professionalism and confidence-boosting results. Our certified experts perform Restylane injections on clients and patients to help reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.

Therefore, facial fillers are a great way to help achieve a youthful appearance of the face and give natural-looking results.

Restylane Injections

Dr. Campbell, our internationally renowned, double board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, recommends seeing a licensed and trained medical professional when considering this treatment. Restylane is a well-tolerated dermal filler that can be injected beneath the skin’s surface. Some of the areas this is used include smile lines, lip lines, cheeks, and the corners of the mouth.

Restylane has been used in over 1.4 million treatments in the US and is approved by the FDA as a safe dermal filler. However, no animal proteins are utilized but trace amounts of bacterial proteins are. Because of this, patients with a history of allergies to such materials are not recommended to use this product.

Restylane Results & Recovery

After the injections, results can be seen immediately. Most patients return to their normal lives instantly after they receive the treatment. However, some patients may have redness, swelling and bruising that typically recedes in less than a week. The incredible results can last up to 6 months or more, depending on the treatment area.

Restylane FAQs:

Can Restylane Help Contour My Face?

Restylane can definitely contour the face to create any sort of shape that is desired, but if you really have an issue with significant volume need, you may want to consider either facial implants or fat grafting since it would become quite expensive to use multiple syringes of Restylane to overall change the shape of one’s face.

How Long Does Restylane Face Filler Last?

At Quintessa, Restylane results typically last up to 6 months or more, depending on the treatment area and individual skin response. Some patients enjoy results that extend beyond this with proper care.

What Is Restylane Filler Best For?

Restylane is ideal for smoothing wrinkles, enhancing lips and cheeks, refining marionette and smile lines, and rejuvenating the hands — all with natural-looking results.

What Happens When You Stop Using Restylane?

If you choose to stop using Restylane, your skin will gradually return to its pre-treatment appearance as the hyaluronic acid naturally breaks down. There’s no sudden change or damage to your skin.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Restylane?

Good candidates for Restylane at Quintessa are healthy adults seeking to restore volume, smooth facial lines, or enhance features with non-surgical treatment. This treatment is not recommended for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have severe allergies to bacterial proteins.

How Long Does It Take for Restylane to Settle Under Eyes?

Restylane typically settles under the eyes within 3–7 days, with full results visible as any mild swelling or bruising resolves, usually within a week.

What Looks More Natural, Restylane, or Juvederm?

Both can look natural when expertly injected, but at Quintessa, many patients choose Restylane for its slightly firmer texture, which offers subtle, sculpted definition — especially in cheeks and tear troughs.
