Dr. Daniel Butz was born and raised outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin. He attended Edgewood College in Madison, WI, where he graduated summa cum lade with a Bachelor of Science and was a starting defender on the Men’s Division III Soccer Team. He completed his medical degree in Milwaukee, WI at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he initially became interested in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He then went on to spend 6 years at the prestigious University of Chicago, completing a competitive combined Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency. Along with learning the breadth of plastic surgery from some of the leading experts in the field, he developed advanced microsurgical breast reconstruction and aesthetic plastic surgery techniques. Dr. Butz became particularly interested in rhinoplasty and facial aesthetics, which led him to seek out a fellowship year of training in San Francisco in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This additional year focused on facial aesthetic surgery and nonsurgical procedures.
To stay current with the latest advances in the field, Dr. Butz has been active in research and has published his findings in the most respected journals in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery covering a diverse field of topics from Breast Reconstruction to Facelift techniques. Dr. Butz has also written book chapters covering the topics of Adolescent Rhinoplasty, Oncoplastic Breast Reconstruction, Facial Rejuvenation and Nipple Reconstruction. Most recently he has worked as a Co-Investigator on a Phase III FDA trial investigating a new Neuromodulator to treat wrinkles that may be coming to the market once approved.
Due to his contributions in research, he was honored to be selected as a Next Generation Editor for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. He reviews articles and participates in board meetings for the leading aesthetic surgery medical journal.
Dr. Butz, with his wife and three children, have returned home to Milwaukee to start his practice among family and friends. He looks forward to providing you with comprehensive, patient driven care that you’ll be able to count on for years to come.
