BOTOX® Injections

Botox is a great choice for anyone who would like dramatic results, but do not want to undergo a surgical procedure to treat moderate to severe frown lines. Botox is a safe and popular treatment for people ages 18-65, but want to make sure that it’s being prescribed and used properly. It is for this reason Dr. Andrew Campbell recommends having a licensed and trained medical professional when considering this therapy. Dr. Campbell performs BOTOX® Cosmetic injections at Quintessa to help reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.

Quintessa Aesthetic Centers now offer the convenient flexibility to pre-pay for your Botox by the unit at an incredibly attractive price. If you’re looking to save hundreds of dollars per year on your botox injections, Bank Your Botox may be right for you. BOTOX® Cosmetic injections, or botulinum toxin, is a natural, purified protein approved by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA). Botox is injected into muscles that cause wrinkles in the face, temporarily relaxing them. BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments leave the overlying skin smooth and unwrinkled, while untreated facial muscles are unaffected, allowing normal facial expressions.

At Quintessa, we often use BOTOX® Cosmetic to treat “frown lines” that appear between the eyes and eyebrows,”crow′s feet” surrounding the eyes, forehead wrinkles, and thick bands in the neck. BOTOX® Cosmetic is also successful in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

During treatment, Dr. Campbell and the staff at Quintessa will insert extremely small needles and injection techniques to provide an essentially painless experience. There is virtually no recovery time with BOTOX® Cosmetic, and our patients notice that their wrinkles begin to fade within one to three days after treatment.

Results can last three to twelve months. However, we recommend follow up treatments every three to six months to maintain the improved appearance. Some side effects can be temporary facial droop, nausea, redness or swelling of application site. [Patients with neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, myasthenia gravis, or Lamert-Eaton syndrome are at risk for more serious side effects.] For maximum skin rejuvenation, Dr. Campbell often recommends BOTOX® Cosmetic be combined with soft tissue fillers, microdermabrasion and other skin resurfacing treatments also available at Quintessa.

Using BOTOX® Cosmetic and soft-tissue fillers together can have a more dramatic effect than using either treatment alone. At Quintessa, our trained staff can determine if this approach is the best solution to your specific concerns.

Combination therapy can be a great choice for improving the following conditions:
* Very deep lines on the face and neck
* Deep frown lines between the brows and forehead creases
* Pronounced crow′s feet next to the eyes

Because both BOTOX® Cosmetic and facial fillers are administered through injections, the combination therapy can be done quickly with little discomfort. Depending on the type of filler used, the effects of combination therapy can last up to two years.
