Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser Explained by Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Andrew Campbell of Quintessa in Milwaukee, WI

Here at Quintessa, we were one of the first places in the country to have the new Halo laser by Sciton. The Halo laser is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, which means it’s firing two lasers through the same hole at the same time. One laser cauterizes some tissue deep in the skin, whereas the other laser vaporizes a very tiny superficial spot on the skin.
These two lasers work synergistically to create a very large amount of new collagen in the dermis. It also helps remodel the skin. And in the big picture, what we’re trying to do is improve brown spots, red spots, wrinkles, pore size, and texture. And that’s exactly what the Halo laser can do. The really cool thing about the Halo is it does this all without any downtime.
Patients may get a little bit of swelling, but they don’t have any weeping. They don’t have any bleeding. They can wear makeup immediately after the procedure. Most of our patients continue to do normal activities during this healing process. The Halo has been truly a game changer in our industry, giving us results that used to give people 7 to 10 days of downtime, whereas today they’re literally walking out of the office with some makeup.
