Question: I am 53 years old and I would like to know which procedure is the best for crow’s feet and several age spots? I have been learning about microdermabrasion and laser skin resurfacing. Which one provides the best results? Which one is cheaper? Which one has a shorter recovery period?
Answer: Well when talking about microdermabrasion and laser skin resurfacing they are different in the fact that microdermabrasion has no downtime and is less costly than a laser procedure, but the laser procedure is more aggressive and thus creates better outcomes, but does come with 1 to 2 days of downtime depending on the patient. You mentioned crow’s feet and for the most part these modalities will do only very little improvement in crow’s feet and I typically would recommend Botox for that area. Both modalities would improve upon age spots though.
