What Is A Necklift Explained by Dr. Andrew Campbell of Quintessa in Milwaukee, WI

A neck lift is a procedure that as it sounds, it treats the neck. There are different forms of neck lifts, but here at Quintessa the most common type of neck lift that we’ll do is a procedure where we go through a small incision under the chin, I’ll work on the muscles under the neck directly by suturing these together and releasing some of the muscle, and then we do this in conjunction with a mini lift, which lifts on the sides, that’ll lift the jowls, it’ll triangulate that lower face instead of creating a more rectangle, which is aging face.
So the combination of a mini lift and a neck lift will simply give patients a better result, a higher neck line, a longer lasting result, and these can be performed in the office just like a mini lift, using local anesthetic with a patient that’s awake. We don’t need an anesthesiologist or the cost of a facility. Patients get wrapped up overnight, we get the wrapping off the next day. Most patients really don’t even bruise very much, but they do have a small incision under here with stitches, those will be removed in about a week.
So that’s typically most patients downtime. We’ll get those stitches out, they may put a little dab of cover makeup on, but then they’re back doing normal activities looking great. These results can last a lifetime because the patient will always look better than if they’d never had a neck lift.
