What is BroadBand Light (BBL™) Pigment Removal Explained by Dr. Andrew Campbell of Quintessa in Milwaukee, WI
Dr. Andrew Campbell
Here at Quintessa, BroadBand Light is one of our favorite procedures. BroadBand Light is a form of intense pulse light, and intense pulse light targets browns and reds in the skin. What’s neat is that sun damage causes browns and reds in the skin, such as little brown sunspots, little visible blood vessels, or even just a ruddy complexion, and BroadBand Light can target these things in the skin, damage them, and then in four or five days, you’re completely healed and free from these brown and red spots. What’s kind of nice is that you don’t have any downtime during those four or five days because there’s no weeping or oozing, there’s just a little bit of discoloration where these brown spots get a little bit darker, this is easy to cover with makeup. So you come in, you can get a BroadBand Light treatment in about an hour, you walk out with maybe a little bit of makeup on, and in four or five days, your skin is clear.
