Question: Botox works beautifully on a friend of mine, his eye and forehead wrinkles are gone. I know that he gets injections every 5 months or so. Does this treatment continue to work forever or do the wrinkles reach a stage where surgery is recommended?
Answer: For dynamic wrinkles of the face, which would include the forehead wrinkles and wrinkles between the eyebrows, Botox can theoretically work forever. The effects are obviously temporary, but if you return for repeat injections as needed you should be able to continue to get a nice effect from this product for literally decades. There are however some wrinkles of the face that will form with aging that Botox really will not be able to help and that is when some sort of laser resurfacing or surgical procedure may be needed for adequate correction.
