Question: Dysport and Botox seem to do the same thing. Is one more advantageous than the other for a woman in her mid-50s with heavy frown lines?
Answer: At this point in time, I really don’t see a big difference between the Dysport and Botox, and therefore, I do not feel that one is more advantageous than the other. I feel they are both excellent and safe products that provide relaxation of the muscles for approximately the same length of time, and I therefore tend to allow the patient to choose the product that they desire, as frequently throughout the year, the various corporations will run specials to make it less costly, and I certainly have no problem treating patients with the Dysport or Botox, depending on which one will give them the best value at that time.
