Question: I am a 34-year-old man. I have always had a weak jaw, and I would like to make it more defined. I heard that Radiesse can be used to give the jawline support. Can Radiesse make the jaw look stronger and more defined?
Answer: I am sure that Radiesse could be used to strengthen the jawline by placing the filler down against the jaw itself; however, I only have experience treating jowling with Radiesse, and we place the product in from of the jowl in what is called the prejowl sulcus to give the jawline a straighter appearance, thus giving the illusion that the jowl is improved. I am sure that the same technique could be employed to create a stronger jawline but I would be concerned that you would require a rather significant amount of the product in order to provide enough improvement to satisfy your desires. Ultimately, an evaluation by an experienced injector would be recommended so that your expectations can be met.
