Question: I love the idea of using fillers to fix my nose instead of surgery, but what if I get this “non-surgical nose job” and do not like the results? Can the filler be removed?
Answer: As long as the filler that was used for your non-surgical nose job is a hyaluronic acid filler such as Restylane and Juvederm then yes, the filler can be removed with simple injection of hyaluronidase which is an enzyme that will break down the filler product in a matter of hours. If the filler was made of a calcium-based product or worse yet a methylmethacrylate or silicone-based product then these cannot be removed. The calcium-based product should resorb over a year or so, but the others are considered permanent and I would strongly encourage patients not to get a permanent filler injected into their nose.
