Question: Is a laser peel the same thing as laser resurfacing?
Answer: Most laser peels are very similar to laser resurfacing but I would say that I consider laser resurfacing to be a procedure where the laser treats the entire surface of the skin and yet I would consider a fractionated laser a form of a laser peel. And this does not treat the entire surface are of the skin, but only treats a small percentage of the surface of the skin since it creates tunnels in the skin. So in 1 respect laser peels and laser resurfacing are similar but in certain respects they could be different due to the fact that there are a multitude of different lasers.
